Thai Steak Salad (marinade and recipe)

To Prep: In a zip lock bag, place protein and marinade into bag, seal and marinate overnight. in a pinch, 2 hours before cooking, marinate at room temperature until you are ready to cook.

For the Marinade and Salad Dressing:

  • 1 cup fish sauce 
  • 1 or 2 tsp of pepper sauce 
  • 3 garlic 
  • 3 tsp. ginger 
  • 1 cup of cilantro 
  • ½ cup of chopped green onion  

For the Salad:

  • ½ cup of thinly sliced red onion  
  • Goes well with mix green lettuce or romaine or iceberg  
  • Fresh cilantro (optional) 
  • ½ shredded carrots 
  • Thinly sliced cucumbers (optional) 
  • ½ cup of tomatoes your way 
  • Meat (beef, shrimp) 
  •  Mix and separate in half 

Protein Options:

  • Steak: Ribeye, New York, Flank Steak 
  • Shrimp
